Job Summary
The Opportunity at MGB Health Plan
The Epic Cogito & Analytics Developer plays a key role on the team, reporting to the Manager of Clinical Reporting & Business Intelligence.
You are responsible for designing and delivering data analytics and reporting solutions that support clinical and operational needs across the enterprise.
You will partner with clinical stakeholders and population health teams to leverage Epic’s Cogito suite, Clarity, Caboodle, and the Payer Platform to drive data-informed decision-making, improve business processes, and support quality and regulatory reporting.
What You’ll Do
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality dashboards and reports with a consistent, user-friendly experience
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and translate business requirements into actionable insights
• Build and maintain data models and reporting solutions to ensure accurate, timely, and accessible data
• Leverage data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and Epic reporting tools to deliver impactful analytics
• Extract, transform, and analyze data from Epic Clarity, Caboodle, the Enterprise Data Warehouse, and other sources using SQL or similar tools
• Participate in iterative development, including designing, testing, and refining dashboards and reports, with a focus on clinical reporting
• Apply best practices for distributing content through Power BI and Epic reporting platforms
• Perform thorough quality assurance to ensure accuracy, reliability, and validity of deliverables
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet business needs
• Support additional responsibilities as assigned and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field (preferred)
- Epic Certification or Accreditation in Reporting Modules (strongly preferred), including Cogito, Clarity, and Caboodle Data Model
- 2–3 years of experience designing reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar data visualization tools (required)
- 2–3 years of experience with SQL and SSIS (required)
- Experience with SAS, Python, SSRS, or R (preferred)
- 2+ years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a healthcare setting, partnering with business users to develop analytical solutions (preferred)
- Experience with Epic’s Cogito suite (preferred)
- Experience building reports using Epic tools, including Radar, Reporting Workbench, and SlicerDicer (preferred)

- Strong data visualization and usability design capabilities
- Intermediate proficiency with programming/statistical tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, SSIS, SSRS, or R
- Experience building reports using Epic reporting tools, including Radar, Reporting Workbench, and SlicerDicer
